How to change the language in the Sims 2

Basically you will be able to select a langauge during the installation. However, some downloads (not ours) only have English, Russian or Spanish.

You can change the language in the Registry

1. Keep Windowskey pressed and type R
2. In the Window now type regedit and click on OK
3. Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
4. Open SOFTWARE
5. (only when you have 64 bits Windows, Open WOW6432Node)
6. Open EA Games
7. Open your highest installed expansion – usually Mansion & Garden by clicking on the arrow in front op The Sims 2 Mansion & Garden Stuff
8. Open the folder 1.0
9. Doubleclick on Language
10. In the window select Decimal
11. Change the value to that of your desired language (see below) and click on OK
12. No need to change LanguageName
