Okay, fine, I’ll make an announcement as clear as possible because people won’t shut up.
I’m not going to make a DLC Unlocker for EA app on Mac.
I don’t know how to keep using Origin without switching to EA app. I don’t know any tricks.
There isn’t a native cracked version of The Sims 4 for Mac. And considering it’s been over 9 years since the release – there probably won’t be any in the future either.
There’s a Windows version running through Wine/Wineskin/CorssOver – this works on Macs, even M1 ones. You can find it on NXMac, I won’t help you with installing it. You can update it with Sims 4 Updater though.
Why I’m not going to make a new Unlocker? Because I don’t have a Mac. And I’m not going to remote connect into someone else’s computer. I did that when making DLC Unlocker v1, but that one was much more primitive, and I did most of the work on Windows, then just replicated the method on Mac. I can’t do that with Unlocker v2 so I’d have to come up with a new method. I have one in mind but the installation instructions would be much, much harder than those for Unlocker v1. And people still can’t follow these without asking me for every little thing.

Ok so for the mac people I found a way to still use the origin dlc unlocker even after switching to the EA app. It’s a bit of an annoying process to go through but for now I can still play the game with all the DLCs so it’s better than nothing I guess. For this to work you need to have both Origin and EA installed on your computer. Luckily origin for mac is still available to download online if your origin was deleted when you switched to EA.
The steps:
1. Open origin
2. Open EA (press cancel when it asks for admin password and press ok on communication error pop up)
3. Go online on origin
4. Open sims (from where you have it saved on your computer not from the EA app. For me I just type sims in the spotlight search bar and open it from there)
5. Close sims and quit origin
6. Run the add fake entitlements command (don’t have to do the step of opening origin and sims online first then closing because you have just done that)
7. Open origin
8. Close EA app
9. Open ea app (again press cancel on admin password and ok on error pop up)
10. Go offline on ea app
11. Open sims
12. Play with DLC!
anyway hope this helps someone, i know its a lot of steps but like i said better than nothing i guess.
The undermentioned will no longer work when you have switched from the Origin to the EA app
Pack System: Add pirated DLC’s to your legal Origin base game (Mac version)
When you have at least the Sims 4 base game via Origin you can add pirated DLC’s to your legal game for free. (Not sure that it also works for Steam)
You can get the legal base game for free from Origin now.
- Always automatically the latest version (Origin updates it for you)
- No problems with anti-virus (there are no cracks)
- Much smaller downloads (example: Cottage Living is now only 1.6 GB instead of 11,4 GB)
- Easier to add missing DLC’s for free
- Less problems with your CC
- Access to the Gallery
- No game-cracked folder
- No hassle with remid cookie
- Play via Origin/Steam as if you bought all expansions..
New DLC’s however must still be added manually (step 3), although much smaller in size. (example: Cottage Living now 11,4 GB, with this system only 1,6 GB)
Preparations in Origin
- Log in to your Origin account
- Click on the word Origin (left top bar)
- Click Application Settings
- Click Application
- In Client update: switch “Automatic game updates” and “Automatically update Origin” on – see picture below.
Now your game and Origin update whenever you start your The Sims 4
Find the location of your original (legal) game
The packs should be in:
[Your home directory] > Applications > The Sims 4 Packs
What the home directory is called will depend on what your user/computer is called. To find it, you can use the Finder – it should be in the left hand menu with a little house icon. Otherwise you can also open the finder and press command + shift + H to open the home directory 
NB there is also a The Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts (this is where saves go), as well as multiple other folders/shortcuts called ‘Applications’ which makes this all a little trickier than necessary!
As i don’t have a Mac i can’t try it out.
STEP 1
If you want to revert all changes. Run “delete entitlements.command” and re-download Origin app |

Things to remember:
When Origin updates repeat step 5.
When a game gets a new DLC re-download the Unlocker and repeat step 6.
When a game gets a new update you don’t have to do absolutely anything.
From now on every time you want to play the game:
0. Exit Origin if it’s running.
1. Start Origin (you MUST be online).
2. Select Origin > Go Offline.
3. Start the game.
4. Try going online, you can do it from Origin in-game overlay. If that removes the DLCs repeat the process and stay offline.
5. Enjoy your game!
STEP 2 (Optional)
- When you already have cracked DLC’s in another folder, copy the EP’s, GP’s and SP’s only to the folder of your legal game
- When Origin updates repeat step 5 of Step 1
When a game gets a new DLC re-download the Unlocker and repeat step 6 of Step 1. - Play the game via the legal installation folder – Game ->Bin ->TS4_x64 or shortcut thereof.

For those who are struggling to add DLC’s to their game, here’s an easier way of understanding:
- Make sure you’ve repeated “STEP 1” for the DLC Unlocker
- Download chosen DLC’s (via https://sims.tarac.nl/direct-links-to-packs/) and extract the folder from the .iso file* (e.g. SP35)
- Locate your ‘The Sims 4 Packs’ folder:
a. Open Finder and do: Shift + Command + H
b. Click on ‘Applications’
c. Locate ‘The Sims 4 Packs’ folder, if missing create a new folder with the exact name - Drag your DLC folder (e.g. SP35) into ‘The Sims 4 Packs’ folder
- Download the DLC Unlocker again and run: “fix OriginClient.command”
- Open Origin and go to: Account > Go Offline (in the menu bar)
- Open your Sims 4 game
*Double click the .iso file and drag out the folder from the window
** Right-Click File > Open With > Terminal
NOTE:
• You must repeat steps 4-5 in order to add new DLC’s to your game
• Steps 6-7 must be repeated every time you want to open your game to play with DLC’s and/or with online features
• If your DLC’s haven’t appeared in-game, restart Origin and repeat step 6

Alright, so it seems that some people have been having issues downloading the new pack. First of all, it’s best to install the LATEST version of the unlocker:

-because the unlocker has been recently updated. The DLCs are not up to download individually on the website anymore, so an option is to download a torrent client. It’ll help you open .torrent files on Mac. I recommend Transmission as it is a simple and easy for beginners torrent client for Mac.

In order for:
EP13: Growing Together
EP14: Horse Ranch
SP40: Greenhouse Haven Kit
SP41 Basement Treasures Kit
SP42: Grunge Revival Kit
SP43: Book Note Kit
-to show up in your game, you have to go to Applications, Shift + Command H, click on the Applications folder, right click on TS4, show package contents, and drag them in the contents folder.
The rest of the DLCs can be simply added into The Sims 4 Packs folder.
So, in order for the DLCs to work in your game, you have to:
1. Download Origin DLC Unlocker *recent updated version.
2. Right click on fix.OriginClientcommand and click open. Press a key and Origin Client will be fixed.
3. Right click on add.fakeentitlementscommand and press open. Complete the first instructions provided. After the first instructions are complete, press 2. Then press another key to finish the command.
4. *VERY IMPORTANT* Run fix. OriginClientcommand again. Make sure you press a key to finish the command.
5. Open Origin as ONLINE and go to your profile. Click on TS4, then at the top left of your screen Click Account and then Go Offline.
6. Open TS4 as online. The packs should now work in the game.
If it still doesn’t work, you might have to run the deleteenitlements.command and uninstall TS4 AND Origin. Then you’d have to redo all of the instructions. Pain in the ass to install the sims again I know, but it’ll be a fresh copy.
OR, you can try to go to Documents > Electronic Arts and drag The Sims 4 folder to your desktop. Run TS4 as offline. The packs should refresh and you’ll always have a backup of your mods/CC if you play with them.

STEP 4 (add future DLC’s to your game)
- Download the torrent for the new DLC
- Extract by double-click
- Copy the downloaded and extracted folder to your legal The Sims 4 folder
- re-download the Unlocker and repeat step 5 of Step 1
As you don’t have to worry about amendments in the folders __Install, Data, Delta, Game, Support (Origin does that for you) all you have to do is copy the extracted EP, FP, GP or SP folder from the download to your legal installation folder.
Presume the next DLC will be SP42 then, instead of downloading several GB, it will be restricted to maybe 250 MB)
For just (Pre-)Updates you do not need anything at all. Just play the game and it will be automatically updated to the latest version.
Adding DLC’s: Suitable for Windows and Mac
- Go to this link
- Select the DLC you want
- Click on Download
- Mount the downloaded .iso
- Copy the DLC to the Packs folder (Mac) or to your installation folder (Windows)
Simple way of installing all 18 languages in one go
Please bear in mind that when you installed the game via Origin only 1 language is available, meaning that when you installed in English you cannot change to f.e. Norwegian.
In such cases you’ll have to re-install the game in Norwegian in Origin.
Also downloads from many other sources are often in 1 language only (such as English or Spanish)
In our downloads all languages are already installed.

The Origin update is not letting the DLCs load. It was working well before that. I did steps 5, 6, and then 5 again multiple times already but still nothing. Helpppp!

then I had to redo the unlocker and now I have everything back.

I did this a few months ago and it worked fine. Went to open the game again and suddenly none of the DLC was there. So I uninstalled everything (including running the delete entitlements command), deleted it all off my Macbook, and reinstalled. Followed all steps. Game loads but none of the DLC is showing up at all. Any ideas?
Never mind, figured it out – the issue was the same as alex’s with the fix command not working properly. Gave the terminal app full permissions and now it works!

im not sure if you guys figured it out but i just repeated the steps a bunch of times using a new unlocker each time (i used this one https://gofile.io/d/0QzIal) and it ended up working for all these packs that are having issues! hope it works for you guys too xx
I have the sims 4 downloaded onto a hard drive as my mac lacks storage and have been trying to get the origin dlc unlocker to work for days with no luck. Does anyone know how to do it???
What works for me is first running the “add fake entitlements.command” then the “fix OriginClient.command” but when you open Origin make sure your account is offline for it to work!

Hi! So I did all the steps, and when I opened the game it apparently worked, all the packs and kits appeared as mine and as if I bought everything. I’m having issues with my saved game, every time I save and then open the game again I can’t find my family unit or if I can I’m taken to the worlds page and not in the actual home/world where my family lives.

I had to go to another website https://sims.tarac.nl/direct-links-to-packs/ which I would recommend searching if you have a different issue from me because there are a lot of responses!
But if you were in my boat this is what the comment says:
What I did:
Downloaded the pack iso. File
Mounted it (double clicked on it to reveal a folder named EP15)
Put that folder (EP15) into the installation folder (for me at least: shift+command+h —> Applications—> right clicked the sims 4–> show package contents—-> contents —-> put the folder in here)( open with—-> terminal
Now make sure you’ve QUIT origin not just closed it. There shouldn’t be a small dot under app on the dock if you’re on Mac. If there is then right click the app and press quit or force quit.
Then do what’s in the terminal. I think that’s included clicking any key on your keyboard. Number 2 for The Sims4
And then maybe another key to finish the command.
Quit terminal. Go back into origin. Account—-> go offline. And finally…. Open sims. Fingers crossed it works for everyone Applications—> right clicked the sims 4 (bc my mac is a bit newer this is where I really got lost. this person is not referring to ‘the sims 4 packs’ folder but the actual game with the iconic icon, and if your mac is newer you may nee to right click with too fingers) –> show package contents—-> contents —-> put the folder in here)
then follow the rest of the instructions (which I think is the terminal stuff)

where to find the newest DLC Unlocker v1
I wanted to only download certain packs. I followed all the steps but when I open Sims it doesn’t show me my new packs. When I go to ‘My Packs’ and I click on the pack I downloaded it shows a greyed out button. It is greyed out and says you already own this pack and then in red it says requires the Sims 4 and all game updates. I’m not sure what to do.
I have the exact same problem ! I had the sims 4 legally downloaded on origin and I wanted to add all the extension packs and kits. It now says I do own them all on the game but none of them work since they “require the sims 4 and all game updates”. I tried updating the game on origin and origin itself but both are shown to be fully updated. I don’t know what to do, someone please help !

what i ended up doing: fully redownloaded origin + my legal game, plus the packs I have legally. took some time, but then I redid the fix origin command, fake entitlements, and went offline. i know its not a quick fix but it worked for me <3 for some reason, I had two sims 4 packs folders, and once I was able to find the current one the game was using, I moved all the DLC to that and everything is going smoothly.

I was having a problem a few others had with CAS having red question marks and unclickable plots and found a solution.
What I did to fix this was to completely switch my The Sims 4 folder (a copy I accidentally had from before with the same saves and all) and replaced all packs that were downloaded using the torrent into the individual downloads. My problem was I was using two different methods to get the packs and it bugged my game out for a while.

I’m pretty sure thats how its supposed to be. You do not have to switch your sims folder, I don’t think, but I did it for a fresh start so nothing got left behind.

I don’t understand what you mean by replacing all packs into the individual downloads? I have been having this problem with the red question marks, uncklickable lots and not being able to use the phone or click anything in the menu and I have no clue how to fix it. All the packs show up in my game but most of the furniture also has a weird texture with question marks and some are unplaceable due to not having a placement grid, I don’t understand what I need to do in order for the game to work properly :<
So for me, the torrent simply wasnt working after Horse Ranch came out. Before, all my packs were taken and mounted from there (the torrent) and it worked fine until the empty plots and red question marks.
Fixing it, I took out all the packs that were downloaded from the torrent, deleted them and replaced them with the individual packs and now my game works fine.

I haven’t been able to get my game to open (I’m on Mac) since for rent came out. Once I downloaded it from here I can’t get sims to open. It says application not responding. It’s been like this for weeks. I’ve tried everything someone please help!!!

Hi, sometimes this is an issue with the packs. For me, my sims would go to do an interaction and then never stop dancing. It was an issue with the laundry day pack (SP13), after removing it, everything worked normal. Other people have said Eco Lifestyle also does this, so try removing that as well (EP9). If neither of them are causing the problem, you might have to experiment with other packs.
Hi, have you had an issue with question marks and red and white showing up on the sims in Cas every time I delete and reinstall? That is what always showed up, and I don’t know how to fix it.

you can go online and search reset origin which downloads like a resetter. i’ve been at this for around four days and I had that issue (which I think I figured out why but i’m not amazing at explaining things) but that worked for me if you still wanted to get the packs bc it does work!!
Everytime I try to run the “fix OriginClient.command” it says something like ” Multiple Origin installations found, the script cannot continue:
/Applications/Origin.app/Users/myname/Library/Group Containers/group.com.apple.notes/Accounts/and then a bunch of other numebrs” but when I run the add fake entitlements.command, that command works just fine. When I go in the game it says I don’t own the packs though. I don’t know what to do : (

Hiya! Is anyone having any issues with listing on Plopsy, I’ve tried the last couple of days but it just reset my sims when I try to click “List on Plopsy”.
I don’t have the Dust SP installed, but I do have the Laundry Day SP installed but everything else works with Laundry being installed… Do I need to uninstall Laundry..? It’s not a big deal if I do need to uninstall it, I don’t need to use Plopsy but thought I would try it out.
anyone else having trouble with horse ranch and for rent? they were working fine, but now the pack covers are blue, and the worlds and any of the cas/bb items do not show, even though it is showing I own the packs. I have rerun/redownloaded the unlocker and the packs. also my sims that are wearing those pack items still have them on, but it shows up as base game.
since the new for rent pack i cant open the gallery anymore, does anyone else has this problem?
Rent and online gallery worked for me at least at the beginning, but now, my sims4 crashes every time I try to connect online gallery.
I can’t even open my game. I’m on Mac and it says that “application not responding” and I have to force quit. I updated all of my mods and cc and if I take all of them out of the sims 4 folder the game will open up. ive downloaded all the packs over and over again and I can’t play with mods or cc. could the packs and all of the cc conflict?

in order for for rent to show up, y’all have to download the update file, copy the EP 15 folder to sims 4 packs, and ALSO copy the files from inside the installer folder and paste them into the installer folder that’s in the sims 4 packs folder. Then run dlc unlocked (newest version) as normal. After a few days I finally figured it out! 😭🙏🏾

As you said, first I take the EP15 folder and place it inside the The Sims 4 Packs, but what do I have to do after that….?
Inside the Sims 4 Packs folder there should be a “_installer” folder. Copy all of the folders from the Sims 4 Packs folder (cmd + a, cmd + c) then paste (cmd + v) them into the _installer folder as well.

yes, it turns out i needed to download all packs and put them in the installer folder (i initially only wanted to download 5 specific packs because i didn’t want my laptop to overheat/slow down, but i had no choice but to install everything). they work now except for the latest for rent pack. trying to figure that out yet

I redownloaded every pack I wanted and now when I open the game up, it says that I don’t own the packs. I did all the steps right but nothing is working. I also downloaded the newest unlocks.

I need help!! I was able to successfully install all the packs but every time I go into CAS all of the packs (except for the ones I previously purchased) are showing that I don’t own them. When I go to the home screen it shows that I own all the packs. I’m completely lost on how to fix this. I play on Mac btw. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA 🙂

So I downloaded the new For Rent gamepack and idk if it’s the packs fault or any other dlc’s but every time I try to play with any family, the game just loads again into world management. I play on a Mac btw, please help :((
So I deleted the pack and it still didn’t work, later on deleted all dlc’s also checked if any mods caused this problem and they didn’t so anyone help lol

Every pack instead of For Rent, Poolside Splash(?), and Modern Luxe shows up in the game, any ideas? To make things funnier, Grunge Revival and Booknook kit didn’t show up before the update, and poolside and modern luxe did, but they mixed it up lol
What I did was re-download the origin unlocker (the latest version which I think is dated december 7th). Download the For Rent .iso file, copied the extracted folder (EP15) to The sims 4 Packs folder, AND copied it to users/YourUser/Applications/ right click on The Sims 4 app, show package contents and pasted the EP15 folder on the “Delta” folder
this worked but the world wont show up and anytime i try to fill the vacancy on my unit it wont work.

After putting the file in your game redo all these steps (also make sure you have the latest version of the unlocker):
1. Open Origin (if you see the “Origin Requires an Update” window – select the second option, “Update Origin”).
2. Open Origin settings (hover over your username, select “Application Settings”), scroll down and under “Client Update” disable “Automatically update Origin”.
3. Run the game.
4. Quit the game, quit Origin.
5. Run “fix OriginClient” script.
6. Run “add fake entitlements” script – skip the part that tells you to run the game, you already did it.
7. Open Origin – click “Don’t update and use Origin in offline mode”.
8. Run the game.
I do that everytime there’s a new pack and it works fine 🙂
Does anyone know how to fix the expansion packs after this new TS4 update? Origin keeps failing to finish the update and even when quitting Origin and trying to play offline my game is simply not recognizing any of my saved games.

Mi problema era que mis Sims no respondían a ninguna orden ni hacían nada y se quedaban parados.
Lo que ice fue sacar todos los DLC de la carpeta y ir metiendo uno a uno de nuevo mientras probaba el juego, es decir, media uno iba a la carpeta de Origin Unlocker y hacia todo, luego entraba al juego, y así todo el rato hasta poner todos. Los que a mi no me funcionan son el SP17 y el SP41.
Espero que le sirva a alguien.

HELP! SP 44,45,46
OS: Mac, Platform:Origin
Has anyone been successful intalling the SP 44-46? I am at a loss, I have been playing TS4 with this method for months now. I know the drill, and most of the troubleshooting stuff. I have read the suggestions in the comments too. and recent efforts lead me to drag my TS4 folder (from Docu) in my desktop, resulting to the deletion of my current game (which was suggested in the instruction, it refreshes the EPs etc). I spent hours figuring this out, I have wasted my thanksgiving break lol. Believe me, I think I tried everything in the comments.
What I’ve tried:
-SP 44-46 in the content folder
-SP 44-46 in packs folder
-cheked for updates
-deleted and reinstalled latest Unlocker
-Redownloaded the .iso for 44-46, mounted, moved to the folders.
-All the installation methods above, open origin and TS4 online, closed it, ran the unlocker (fix>add>fix), ran Origin > offlined > TS4. I did this several times everytime I moved the folders for 44-46.
Please let me know. I have a fixation problem. I just can’t move on lol.

Did you install the Laundry Day Stuff Pack? I had a similar issue and when I removed the Laundry Pack it fixed the problem.
Hi! I got it working the same day as well. All the comments were right, I removed Laundry and Dust SP. I initially removed laundry first, but there were some commands that didn’t work, so I decided to try and remove the Dust SP, then it worked properly. Thanks for your replies!

I have tried using this multiple times and every time I get the same problem. Whenever I use the fix origin command, my sims 4 doesn’t open at all. Is there any way to fix this?
Update : The game says I have the packs at the main screen but when I go in-game it says that I don’t have the packs. It even took away packs I’ve already owned.
check if you have more than one “the sims 4 packs” files, if you do remove the empty one. That should fix it, to make sure search instead of looking manually.

(FOR MAC) Yes I had this issue and there were a few mistakes I made.
Dont make a new folder for your downloads just allow your computer to create it for you with your desktop, make sure you have moved your packs to your EA applications folder. FINALLY THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE FOR ME, when opening sims from origin, got to GAME LIBRARY then right click on sims 4 – or for Mac control – to open options menu then click PLAY. This should open it, worked for me. Just don’t forget to keep origin offline

Hi, I tried to set this up on my new mac and it doesn’t work. I did the procedure several times, deleting when it didn’t work and restarting the steps, but in my game, it says I have all the packs, but it will not let me actually use any of the content. When I did this the first time, it said it would download and give me a notification when it was done, but it never did and it says I own the content, but won’t show any of it in-game. Any solutions/ideas?

you have to separately download the packs from the link provided to. they won’t download from the game.
