The Sims 4 legal base game for free,
As per the 18th of October, you can download the base game of the Sims 4 for free via Origin or the EA app.
When you don’t have an account, make one, log in and the legal base game will download. (see this page)
From that moment on you no longer have to update manually, EA will automatically update your game to the latest version.
Only when new DLC’s are released, you must download these as described on this page.

Hey, is it somehow possible to choose a game version? I haven’t updated yet to 105.xx because I see how many issues people have, but now I want to make a factory reset of my PC – only thing that makes me hesitate is TS4, because I want to stay on version 104.xx. Thanks in advance!
I installed sp47 and s48. but it does not appear in the game. It still appears as unowned. how can i solve it? I’m using mac.
I installed For Rent but in the other worlds the game won’t let me build houses for rent.
Do you set the lot type as residential rental? Silly question i know, but i had it happen to me.
If you can build in the new world but not in other worlds it means the game is fine and it is probably a mod thing.
in other worlds that type of lot does not exist
I read in EA answers that lots of people had the same problem from outdated mods.
Have you tried moving the mods folder to your desktop for example, clear localthumbnailcache.package file and test the game?
If you don’t use any mods i’m sorry but i can’t help you any further.
As a last resort i’d install the pack again.
I still can’t seem to get For Rent EP 15 to show up in the unlocker. I just got the newest one working just not EP 15.
I don’t know which one you’ve downloaded. I have the base game and just install the dlcs. It works fine.

Try uninstalling the unlocker and install it again and then run it. Usually after an update it happens to show you don’t have some content. But not only with a game update. If the EA Desktop itself updates then you need to run the unlocker.
If that doesn’t work redownload For Rent maybe.
After I’ve downloaded and installed the newest update – full update – I cannot use it. It says that “you don’t own this content”.

Hi, for everyone having the grey llama pictures in the For Rent pack, go (or cs rin ru forum, not sure if links work here), download from Anadius repack: new patch, for rent and home chef, no origin fix and setup. Then just run the setup and install the packs and update. Now the icon is back in my game! Good luck

Question, do you know if EA can detect if the DLC’s are cracked? I’m a creator and I never heard back from my EA creator network application, wondering if that’s something that could determine their lack of response.
Yes they can! You’ll have to use the DLC unlocker if you want to play a legal game version with all packs included.
I do use a legal copy of the game and the DLC unlocker

I deleted all my mods and the issue remain the same
I have now try everyhting I could think of – mods and tray removed – reinstal prevous update in case I missed one. Unfortunately the issue remain.

Tout a été mis a jours par tout les moyens possible, tout est bon, je n’ai plus “le lama” je vois le contenu du jeux maintenant dans mes packs. Mais il y a toujours un problème majeur, quand j’acheté une nouvelle propriété je la vois pas dans le menu adéquat, alors que l’argent a été débiter et dans la gestion des mondes on voit bien que ca m’appartient mais je ne sais pas réagir de plus j’ai un code d’erreur quand je sauvegarde.
(( je suis sur Windows 11 et je n’ai aucun mods.))
Il y a un gros soucis avec le nouveau pack, pouvez-vous le régler, perso je n’ai jamais eu de soucis avec vous et cela depuis des années.

Hi, whenever I try to save my game it gives an error code saying it’s unable to do so. I’ve tried removing my mods and updating everything but nothing works
I think there’s an issue with the final update 1.103.250.1020, whenever I tried to download the file, there’s no folder for EP15. I will wait until it’s fixed for now I will continue to play without the for rent ep.

Hi when i enter the game i only see 4 worlds and the others arent there, idk if thats something on my end or.. If it is can you or someone please tell me what I did wrong
Also did everything as mentioned, there is no world showing and when I try to play the game now it hangs up, so I have to force quit it everytime. Then tried Dlc toggler, it doesn’t show the rent pack. It only showed the notification when I started the game for the rent pack and anadius updater says rent is installed but it’s not? Update! I repaired my game via Anadius Updater “repair button” and now everything works. It’s just a little bit strange that I have two of the worlds, they seem to be the same but one is unplayable xD anyways one world works and everything in this pack too..Sooo fixed 🙂 Thank you Tarac for keeping up the good work
Downloaded both the final and full update. Placed them in Steam – Steamapps – Common – The Sims 4.
Updated the game via Anadius Updater.
GameVersion still shows 1.102.190.1030.
When I open the game, For Rent appears under My Packs. But when I sort items in CAS by packs, it says I don’t own For Rent.
Also cannot choose world to live in, there simply aren’t any worlds to choose from, just an empty screen.
What do I do
I did everything as others posted – installed full update, then final update, then used updater.
The game now shows all content properly – CAS, icons, texts, Building mode items.
However, I still cannot play anything rent-related. None of the rent menus work, the screen just gets blue filter all over it and I can only force-quit the game.

Hi ! For those who have problem with the last update causing the For Rent pack not showing properly you have to install both update ( full and final ) and after that run the updater ( on the page “the sims 4 free downloads”, it’s the update for Home Chef at the time i’m writting this ).

Could you provide more details? There are two categories of users: those using Pack Systems and those using cracked versions. I fall into the latter category. There are two versions of the final update, 1.103.250.1020—one for Pack System users and one for users like me with the cracked version. Additionally, which updater specifically are you referring to?

My issue is I download the rental pack from here and never had any problems. I used the updater to install the new pack. Now when I go into the game, the pack not showing said its missing basegame. I have downloaded the basegame twice and its still not registering that it is there.
I join the words of gratitude for the work done and the request to view the files, unfortunately, I also have a “gray llama” instead of a new world. I don’t have mods.

I updated the game using the update before the For Rent final file, then added the For Rent final file, after that I ran the Anadius Updater and now everything is PERFECT! no more grey Llama

i’m having an issue with the new world not loading when i click on it. the other world’s do, but when i click that one specifically the world screen is blank and the “choose a world” text is stuck on top. i can’t click back and have to exit to the main screen.

I’m a Mac user, I have all of the DLC I wanted working fine, but I wanted to download Home Chef Hustle and I’ve read that I have to download and update (Final Update 1.2.3. file), mount the files etc. I’ve downloaded it but I can’t mount the iso file. The ext shows up as .torrent, I’ve tried to change it to .iso, I’ve tried to change it to .dmg but nothing works. And without the update the Home Chef Hustle is not working. What can I do so it works?
Every time I go to install, the Sims 4 updater version 1.2.3 presents a “Failed” error in several expansions when extracting. It’s as if the program downloaded and deleted the DLC at the same time. Thus preventing it from being extracted and installed. can anybody help me?

Wdym? I can play the game offline through the EA app legal game with no issues. You just have to log in first into the app and then turn off your internet and it’s offline. It’ll come up if you want to play the sims 4 offline

Hi is the game folder in the new udate incomplete? I notice some of the folder is missing.
It only shows the data that has changed.
The download link for the final update, 1.100.147.1030, isn’t working. It takes me to a website that tells me to download a bunch of other stuff to unlock the link to download. This hasn’t happened before with other updates.

J’ai créé un nouveau Sim pour le faire emménager dans une autre maison mais ça me fait toujours la même chose ? Que faire? J’ai pourtant fais « repaire » et pourtant ça ne marche pas.

hi, the horse ranch pack is suddenly gone from my game and I’ve tried everything from redownloading and replacing the pack in the game folder, redownloading the unlocker and running it multiple times, removing all my mods, etc.. it has been working perfectly since the launch. the entire pack is suddenly gone into thin air and when I want to load up my save it says horse ranch is required, I’m running out of ideas of how to fix this. I have a macbook.. any help or ideas is appreciated
Hi, I still cant open the new chestnut ridge world. i first updated th game through my ea app, then i downloaded the final update on this site. I removed the old unlocker and updater and installed the most recent ones. Again, all via this site. I installed the new dlc and unlocked them in the unlocker. what i find most weird is that i can add horses and everything else seems to work, i just cant get into that new world. my playscreen turns white but i can still exit the game in a normal way. i just cant get back to the other worlds so everytime i try this i have to exit the game, find out whats wrong(which i cant) and try it all over again. I hope you can help

For the people who face trouble adding the latest EP or DLC in general and have the free legal base game installed.
You should download the latest Anadius Unlocker V2 and run it.
19 is now the number for Sims 4.
That is if you don’t use the Anadius Updater.
Also from personal experience. Every time the EA App. updates or the Sims updates you need to run the unlocker.
I usually uninstall (5) and reinstall (1) the file. And no, it doesn’t bloat your registry.

Biiiiiiiiig Thanks for the work, but CAS is not working ,(traits,body,hair,glothes etc.) and it freezes 🙁 I only use 2 mods MCCC and UI Cheats and i don’t use cc. its weird. And the makers of MCCC and UI ,claims that the problem is not in them. Help?
I wanted to apologize: I removed my Mod folder completely ,with 2 mods i have ,and fixed the main game in EA app ,and then I put MCCC mod back ,(I launched the game-everything worked), and then I put UI mod back, (I launched the game-everything works) – It seems that the problem was in EA’s original game! However, I need a little advice, I mounted the iso with Internet Explorer but now I can’t open it 🙁 It says something like “The web is trying to open the web content with a program in the computer” (in translation) but when I click “Allow” a new tab comes up for a split second but then it disappears and nothing happens 🙁 So I can’t acces the files to copy to the game folder.

I’ve been trying for weeks to get my gallery to work. I’m using a mac and the unlocker for my packs but everytime I try to use my gallery it sends me to origin then crashes my game. Is anyone else having this problem?
I cannot open my sims 4 game, it says “the contents of your user data directory were created by a newer version of the sims 4 and cannot be loaded. Please update your game via origin to play” but I’ve updated my game through the EA app and it still doesn’t work on the cracked DLC version. I have the og game and I’d like to play with the gallery on again 🙁
im having the same issue too
It keeps telling me that I’m missing the EALauncher.exe file and that I have to install the origin app so sims works. After I did instill the origin app it told me to delete it and kept telling me that I need the app and that I’m missing some file. Trying to delete everything related to the sims now..

Hello, whenever I try to open the updater it says “Your game version (1.96.397.1020) doesn’t match the one available in the Updater (1.98.158.1020)” I have a legit game and Its already updated. What should I do.

I tried it and it didn’t work.
Finally figured it out. I had to click “repair” on the EA app. I don’t know why I had to but I just did out of lack of other options and just like that, the game is working. Hmm.
I’ve followed every step to getting the legal base game and playing the cracked DLCs with it, but the game isn’t starting even while online. I’m not getting any error messages. The game just loads for like five seconds then closes and nothing. I used the unlocker, the updater, everything. Can someone tell me what’s wrong? I really do regret moving to the legal game to be honest. Is there a way to revert to the cracked game without downloading everything from scratch. I just want to play my sims in peace.
Hi, Do I need to be online to start the game after getting the free legal base game with cracked DLC? It saying it can’t start because I’m offline. This didn’t used to happen when I was just using the cracked game. Please help.

So, everything has been erased/deleted;-;
That's why I redownloaded The Sims 4 base game (legal game) using EA app, then I used the Anadius Updater FOR THE FIRST TIME to download ALL DLCs (EPs, FP, GPs, SPs) since the direct links from here "https://sims.tarac.nl/direct-links-to-packs/" no longer available;-; (this is where I download pirated DLCs before)…
I also downloaded the Redists…
and used the DLC Unlocker v2 before opening the Sims 4 legal base game…
But everytime I open my Sims 4 legal base game, this pops up:
"Do you want to start the game online?………. Start online Start offline….."
…Is this normal now? because in the past, this don't show up/pop up when I open the legal base game with pirated DLCs after using the DLC Unlocker…
Also, my game is always stuck on the loading screen or sometimes on the starting screen, and keeps closing/crashing itself;-;
I don't know what is wrong or what to do anymore.
I already tried the "Repair game" on both EA app and Anadius Updater too…

When you get the message “Do you want to start the game online?………. Start online Start offline…..” you are starting a CRACKED game.
Most probably, when you ran the Updater, you did not tick YES when prompted about your legal game. Your legal folder Game is now overwritten with the cracked game.
1. Repair your legal game via the EA app
2. Run the Updater and make sure you tick Yes when prompted about your legal game.
3. Run the Unlocker.
4. Start your game from the folder Game of your legal game, – Bin – TS4.exe
NB: INFO for players.
My original Sims 4 free game is from EA app,

I use EA DLC Unlocker (from here) and then Sims4 Updater (from here) – and the gallery works ok!
[ But you have to use Unlocker and Updater every time after the original game updates !!! ] It’s not a big problem, rather inconvenient, but if you want to play the game with free dlc, you have to do it!
(At the moment, the Sims 4 Gallery still has big problems after the last big update, but it has nothing to do with the free files here!)
When i play the game, in the menu part it says im Anandius, when im not but in the libary part it has all my previous liked/uploaded builds, households etc. why is this? is this a problem on my behalf or?

It’s the fault of the latest update, you should even be able to see it after updating the game.

In which folder do I have to copy the sp42 and sp43 folders? I have already tried it several times and in the game it says that I have the kits but that I have to have a more updated version of the sims. Do this also happen to someone else?
EA changed the Gallery, and thus it’s not possible to access it with the cracked version of the game anymore. That’s why there isn’t an option to start the game online or offline. To use the Gallery, you have to download and install the original base game and use the DLC Unlocker.

@aaliyah: Not sure, if your reply was for me ’cause the comment section here is weird. But if so, hover at the top of this site over “The Sims 4”, then “The Sims 4 free downloads” and then click on “Add pirated DLCs to your legit The Sims 4 game” (or the one below if you have mac), and then follow the instructions.
I haven’t done it, I’ve just recieved the message of Anadius when I used the updater to update my game.

I’ve got the newest update but it logs into Anadius’ account instead of mine. There is no gallery. There is no option to choose onlline or offline. Also I used EA DLC Unlocker v2.7z , but it didn’t worked and it is the same as before. Does somebody help me?

The new version for 1.98 of this mod is already out, just google it.
If you don’t use that mod, try the More Cas Columns mod by weerbesu, this got an update, too, and usually messes up the UI if outdated.
Hi there! I’ve added the recent update, but it logs into Anadius’ account instead of mine. There’s no option for always online, offline or logout. I can’t access the gallery either… if you could give me a hand, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you!! 🙂

I switched to the new EA app and all my cracked Packs seem to be disappeared.
I keep trying the solution with the ea dlc unlocker v2 and it’s working, but only temporarily.
Every time i close my pc and then try to open the game the same thing keeps happening. So i have to do the dlc unlocker thing every time i want to play the game… Is there a solution to this?

I tried to update the latest patch through the Anadius updater, but I can’t because of ”Uncaught Exception’. Does anyone have the same issue?
The UI is really messed up. Like when I load a game and try to look through the different households, the menu is smeared and pulled around in weird ways and almost impossible to tell what’s supposed to do what. Also random parts are red too. Some of the pets look pretty glitched out too (or maybe it’s toddlers, hard to tell) they appear to be floating and elongated and entirely impossible to tell what it is supposed to be.

But sims isn’t even on origin anymore, is it? I don’t think I even have origin anymore.
This means that the version of your present game is not the same as the latest version of the EA app.
So, you must update your game.
Meanwhile, you can play the game by deleting the file GameVersion from C:\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4
You will need 10 GB of free space to store the update.tmp file. When update is completed the .tmp file will be emptied.
Do you use mods? The UI was messed up with me, too. But without mods it was fine. I did the 50/50 and found that my “Chingyu” folder was the culprit. Not sure what exactly in there, but I guess it’s custom traits.
for those who use EA…log in ea apps on your pc…,,click on sim 4 base game ..then click repair,….after finish rpair..open your tarac updater.. click update..finish update…go to your unlocker,,just do the step as usual…after that…open the game .and online!!..,,

so i updated my sims 4 i think i did everything right but its showing up a unable to start i repair the game and that didnt work any suggestions.

Someone sent me a solution on Twitter that worked: I share it here, I hope it helps – it worked for me!
I use windows Laptop and EA.
-:Click the three bars in top left corner of the app, click go offline, close the app and open it again, and then go online. This worked for me.
This solved the problem of not being able to start the game! But it’s not norm that you can’t use online, and the updates is downloaded but shows that they haven’t.(gallery is important to me) But I hope that they fix this error soon. I hope it helped!
hey I had the same issue, and I found that if I went offline by turning off wifi, then opening the game directly from origins library instead of elsewhere it opens!!!
Hey, I am a mac user, for some reason, you need to go online with origin and then launch your game it will work but after that, I quit the game reopen it and i saw that all the DLCs aren’t there (just two I purchased) so I quit the game again opened finder pressed: “shift” + “command” + “h” open applications folder there you will have the sims 4 icon and the sims 4 packs folder you should enter that folder copy all DLC’s and then open sims 4 icon (right click on it show package content/content and put all DLC’s you copied here now if your origin is running quit it and run the fix OriginClient.command then open origin go offline and launch the game at this point everything must work.

I have downloaded the new dlc with the newest updater and unlocker. When I open my game, the Unlocker gives me the following message: updated the config for: The Sims 4. Don’t forget to download the DLC files! But I’ve used the installer. The DLC’s do not show up. Uninstalling and reinstalling the unlocker does not work. How can I fix this? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I use the cracked version (I’m one of those), and have had no trouble up until the Full Update. But, after I applied Update 1.96.397.1020, I saw that that within the folder Game>Bin, there is no .exe file to run the game. I stupidly forgot to backup my install folder, and am not sure how to fix this. Does anyone have suggestions? Or is there actually something missing from the Update 1.96.397.1020 iso?
